Chicago Bears vs.
Green Bay Packers – Tonight the NFL oldest rivalry will be rekindled at
Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The Packers enters the game tonight 0-1
after a loss to the San Francisco 49ers in week one. The Bears come into the
game with momentum after an easy win over the Indianapolis Colts. This is huge
game for both teams the Bears have a chance to send a division rival off with a
0-2 start, and for the Packers it’s imperative for them to avoid the 0-2 start
if they want to make the playoffs. Of the 68 teams that started 0-2 since the 2000 season
only six made the playoffs. Since the NFL went to the 16-game format in 1978
only 27 teams have made the playoffs. The matchup everyone will be watching is
the Bears’ QB Jay Cutler going up against the Packers’ QB Aaron Rodgers. But
the Packers defense and special teams will have to outperform those of the
Chicago Bears if they wish to avoid the 0-2 start. Look for Terrell Manning to
see action during tonight’s game especially on the special teams. Manning
played a big role in the week one matchup with a controversial block on a 78 yard
punt return for a touchdown. The game will air tonight at 8pm on the NFL
Network.
